Jean Delmas founded together with Jean Michel, Andrée Tournès, and Marcel Chantry, the Fédération française des ciné- clubs de jeunes (FFCCJ) [French Federation of youth film clubs] in 1950, which later became the Fédération Jean Vigo in 1964. That same year, Delmas founded the monthly cinema review jeune cinéma, whose cover was designed by the painter Max Schoendorff.

In the very political issue of 1966 Chris Marker writes together with Jacques Rivette, Alain Resnais, Louis Daquin, Claude Chabrol and Jean-Luc Godard, about the intrusion of censorship into their work, due to the ban of Jacques Rivette’s film La Religieuse by the French Secretary of State for Information. Jacques Rivette writes about the censorship of his film La Religieuse, Alain Resnais on Nuit et Brouillard, Les statues meurent aussi, and La guerre est finie; Chris Marker on Cuba Si and Joli Mai; Louis Daquin on Bel Ami; Claude Chabrol on Le Tiger se parfume à la dynamite; Jean-Luc Godard on A bout de souffle and Pierrot le fou. It also contains an essay by André Tournès about Alain Resnais, and a detailed interview with Jorge Semprun on working with Resnais.

Jeune cinéma N°35 from 1969, features the commentary of Marker’s film La Sixième face du Pentagone, and a great piece by Jean Dalmas on Jean Vigos’s classic A propos de Nice.
