The first German edition of Chris Marker’s novel Le Cœur Net, was translated by Walter Maria Guggenheimer and published in 1951 by Verlag der Frankfurter Hefte. Guggenheimer was a member of the editorial board of the literary magazine Frankfurter Hefte, which was the German equivalent of the French journal Esprit.

The publisher blurb on the front flap of the dust jacket claims:

An extremely scarce copy with the original dust jacket from Marker’s first and only novel.
